Though this newsletter is called JELLY TOAST, this issue is about a different breakfast food. My favorite breakfast food. Actually, my favorite food, period: cereal.
I grew up in a three-boxes-of-cereal-at-a-time household. The four of us would carefully select our box for the grocery list each week based on current cravings, often repeating the same type for multiple weeks in a row. That is, until someone else’s box caught our eye in the cabinet, spurring a whole new flavor phase.
While three boxes for four people is a pretty reasonable ratio, my present pantry proudly displays six different boxes of cereal. For two people. I’m not great at math, but I do think this qualifies me as a cereal expert.
My StrengthsFinder 2.0 results will tell you that I am also acutely skilled in Individualization:
People exceptionally talented in the Individualization theme are intrigued with the unique qualities of each person. They have a gift for figuring out how different people can work together productively.
Watch out, Katharine Cook Briggs and Isabel Briggs Myers — I am coming in hot with a new personality typing system to the game. CereYOUL.
Alright, the name is still in progress. Or probably not, but you can read my insights and maybe find a little gift about yourself below.
Here’s what your favorite cereal says about you:

Cap’n Crunch Family of Flavors: You know life is all about balance and you’re as intentional with the need-to-dos as you are the want-to-dos.
Honey Bunches of Oats: You believe every bite has the potential to be the best bite and like each one to be a little bit different than the last — both in food and in life.
Life: You surround yourself with people who have strong convictions and don’t have time for people who are ignorant by choice.
Chex: The more organized and calculated your day-to-day routines, the more room you have for creativity and letting your imagination take you places.
Fruity Pebbles: You spread joy like confetti and you savor every moment of silliness and whimsy that life brings your way.
Frosted Mini Wheats: You know that even though it can feel like there are two sides to everything, life is more complicated than that and you have to get involved to really understand the complexities of a situation.
Quaker Oat Squares: You believe there *is* a right way to do things and will keep improving until you’ve determined the best version (and expect the same of others!).
Froot Loops: You like to dig beyond the surface to get to know what makes each person special.
Cheerios: You see every day as a blank slate and take life as it comes without letting past experiences project bias onto new opportunities.
Kix: You’ve got a childlike spirit and find comfort in wholesome content.
Trix: You’ve got a childlike spirit and find comfort in wholesome content. And you’re gay.

HEY, WHAT’S THE MOON LOOK LIKE RN?
Today, 2/15/22, the moon is: Waxing Gibbous 🌔 (Full moon 2/16/22 — tomorrow!)
What it means, according to NASA: Now most of the Moon’s dayside has come into view, and the Moon appears brighter in the sky.
Reflections: I’ve felt really stuck lately — in the dark, if you will, about my life. It feels like I’ve been walking in a maze and can’t seem to make the right turn to find my way out. Where is the light at the end of this tunnel? But with the impending arrival of the full moon, the light is once again turning to face me. Maybe I’ll find some clarity in its golden glow.
+ What have you been waiting for light be shed on in your life? What answers are you seeking that you can pay attention for during this time?
+ I personally find my creative and motivated self stretch and awaken during the full moon. Do you feel the warmth of your engine revving this week, or does the full moon mean it’s time for you to head into a period of hibernation?
+ Think about your communication as of late. Do you feel that you’re being heard and getting across what you intend, or are things getting lost in translation? How can you adjust accordingly during this moon phase?
